NEW YORK MADE ME DO IT

HELLO/GOOD MORNING/GOOD EVENING! Even
though I came back from NYC a few weeks ago I’m still unpacking… I didn’t even
pack that much this time! I think I just always get into denial that I had to
leave such a fabulous city L Now that school has
started again my priorities have shifted from interning and working to strictly
just studying! To be honest I never thought 20 year old me would have said
that; 12 year old me would be so proud haha.
Anyway, the team (as in my student government) and I
flew a red-eye to jersey for a National Student Leadership and Diversity
Conference. We learned so much and I
was overjoyed with the information I got to absorb about how to be a better
leader, how to be more involved in school life and what words I can use/stop
using to increase professionalism. I’m currently making a presentation about it
so I can present it to the rest of the student government!
Aside from the conference, we toured many hot spots in
NYC including SOHO (including BITE BEAUTY LIP LAB where we made our own
lipstick omg!), downtown, central park, 5th ave, times square, etc. It
was really exhausting walking around everywhere in the 100 degree weather,
however it’ll be a trip I’ll never forget!
