Day 13: Big Ben & Parliament!
9:41 AM
So every Wednesday, we're required to go to a British Life & Culture lecture in the mornings for a two hour lecture. It's pretty boring, but I shouldn't be complaining since hey -- I'm in LONDON. Sometimes, after the lecture, we'll be taking a field trip to somewhere relevant to the lecture.
I woke up like 30 minutes earlier just to do my nails this morning too hehe :) I got this manicure set from Primark (for only like 2 pounds) and if you look closely those are small black & silver dots that I've somehow (tried to) hold down on! It was really cool but really hard to maintain throughout the day...
Anyway, we were told to meet under Big Ben around 3 PM. Times like this is when the tube comes super handy since there's a spot like literally right across from it.
(The whole time I was walking down this street I kept whispering we're in London!!!!!!!!!)
It was a random Wednesday but still there were thousands of people all around us!
The clouds actually faded a bit and the sun decided to say hello to us while we were walking around!! I was so happy since I assumed it was going to rain all day omg.
BIG BEN AND I MEET AGAIN AFTER 2 YEARS!! :D
I was walking past this building and I was in awe because the architecture was so beautiful, don't you guys think?? I want my house to look like this hehe
It was actually funny walking past Americans and listening to them speak, it was nice to hear a familiar accent for once :,)
Big Ben from the street angle with my crummy sandwhich :(
Still debating whether to go on the London Eye or not...
OKAY so by now the sun was glaring in our faces and this was out attempted selfie -- I always laugh at this omfg
Laurel and I trying to smile at the camera without squinting omg I was in the middle of laughing
Love all the colors of buildings here!
There were lots of statues around here, as well!
Really proud of this Big Ben picture :)
Outisde shot of the parliament building... I honestly didn't know what to expect for the tour we were about to go on.
So we couldn't take pictures OF the actual inside of the House of Parliament but here's what it looked from the outside before the tour began:
Well okay there wasn't much to take but I just really love the architecture of everything in London! There's Big Ben peeking from behind!
This was the last pic before the tour began, and usually I'm not a huge fan of tours and visiting museums but this was spectacular. I feel like I was walking back in time with so much history and everything! My persuasion class said they might go back to the house to see a debate in action! I'm really hoping we'd be able to do it since I love watching people argue... LOL
