Day 3: First day of school at ULU

2:54 PM

I wasn't really looking forward to school for the first time in my life, to be honest. I usually love going to school since I always meet so many new people and I feel like keeping my busy is always a good thing, but this time I feel like I had to literally drag myself out of my warm, soft, cozy bed this morning...

So if I haven't said this already the house I'm staying at is in the suburbs -- East Finchley. It's such a nice neighborhood and it's so quiet and peaceful yet busy at the same time! It rained hardcore for the first time today, but look how pretty and sunny it was afterwards!

Oh and the rule for host students is that we have to provide our own lunch and dinner, so after my first Psychology class was over the 5 of us headed back to Garfunkles again to get a quick bite:

Honestly, the service was awful this time, it took one hour for the food to arrive and another hour to finalize the check... now I know what the speaker in the orientation was talking about when they were talking about slow service. And the chicken wrap wasn't the greatest thing in the world, either, so maybe we should wait a while til we go back there?

My room mate (Lexi) and I decided that we should start stocking up on food for the huge fridge we have back home, so we went to a grocery store for the first time. Surprisingly everything was close to 1 pound for frozen items and 2 for fresh, it wasn't as bad as I thought! But still we managed to rack up 20 pounds in total so I think next time we should only get stuff we actually need... oops.

(Isn't Budgens such a cute name for a convenience store?)

I promised myself that I'd start sleeping earlier (it's about 11 PM right now) since I have Anthropology and Persuasion tomorrow from 9 AM :( I think tomorrow's going to be a pretty relaxed day, I'll update more then!
